LAUSD Math Institute is a professional learning program designed for TK–5/6 teachers to strengthen foundational math skills and deepen their understanding of student-driven problem-solving and classroom application strategies.

Institute covers topics including: Counting Collections, Number Sense Routines, Problem Types, and Problem-Solving Strategies.

Cohort Options: (Mix of in-person and Zoom sessions)

a.Cohort A: Jan 11, Feb 8, Mar 8, Apr 5, 2025 **NEW DATE: May 3 and revised times
b.Cohort B: Jan 25, Feb 22, Mar 22, Apr 26, 2025
Location: Griffith STEAM Magnet Middle School for in-person sessions.

Program Schedule:

Day 1: Hands-on CGI-aligned strategies (in-person)

Day 2: Collaborative lesson uploads (Zoom)

Day 3: Peer feedback and sample preparations (in-person)

Day 4: Reflection and improvement planning (Zoom)
